Located in Pleasanton's Hacienda Business Park, Carden West School enjoys a modern and spacious facility. The school features 25 classrooms, a well equipped science lab, music lab, two computer labs, library, multi-use room, and cafeteria all under one roof. A preschool playground and an elementary school playground complete the grounds along with ample parking for staff, parent volunteers, and visitors.

Classrooms: Carden's classrooms are very large and are able to accommodate many learning environments such as: directed learning areas with desks, a reading/library nook, math lab, and small group instruction stations.

Science Lab: A dedicated science lab is well equipped for student learning. Students develop their skills in observation, measurement, scientific writing, and the scientific method as they study and explore the natural world around them.

Music Lab: Music enriches the weekly curriculum for all students at Carden. Students learn the basics of rhythm, various types of instruments, and simple music theory.

Foreign Language Classrooms: All students 3-years-old to fifth grade receive instruction in Spanish. Students in Kindergarten through fifth grade also choose French or Mandarin as an additional foreign language. Students demonstrate their foreign language skills at both the year-end and spring concerts.

Library: An atrium-style library provides a warm and cozy reading sanctuary for Carden students. A full length arched skylight provides plenty of natural light for young readers, and the child-friendly tiered seating gives students ample opportunity to find a nice quiet and secluded spot to cuddle up with their favorite book.

Playground: Carden West provides students with a completely fenced and secure playground environment. Students love to play on the grassy knolls of the field, or on one of the many playground structures available. Separate playgrounds for preschool and elementary aged children provide a variety of play opportunities that are developmentally appropriate.
